HAOSEN has released a structural upgrade for its automatic cutting-sewing-inserting-hemming machine, targeting four problems that woven bag producers face every day: missed defects, uneven bag mouths, temperature drift, and long maintenance stops. The upgraded machine is now in operation at customer sites in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia.
AI Vision Inspects Every Bag — Not Just Samples

The industry-standard approach to quality control on hemming lines is manual spot-checking: an operator inspects a sample of bags and hopes the rest are fine. The upgraded HAOSEN machine replaces hope with a high-resolution industrial camera and AI algorithm that inspects 100% of bags at full production speed.
The system identifies more than 20 defect categories, including holes, broken joints, missing weft yarn, bottom-patch misalignment, and print registration errors, at 0.1mm resolution. Any defective bag is automatically ejected. A high-brightness display screen shows the operator exactly where each defect is and what type it is, so problems can be traced and corrected at the source rather than discovered by a customer.
AI Vision Inspection Specifications
| Specification | Value |
|---|---|
| Defect Types Detected | 20+ (holes, joints, missing weft, patch misalignment, print flaws, etc.) |
| Inspection Accuracy | 0.1mm |
| Miss Rate | <0.05% |
| Inspection Coverage | 100% of Bags |
| Defect Handling | Automatic Rejection + On-Screen Location and Type |
Ultrasonic Dual-Station Hemming — Flat, Firm, Burr-Free

Image: Close-up of the hemming equipment, showing the dual-station mechanism and ultrasonic welding head.
Uneven bag mouths, wrinkles, and inner-outer bag misalignment are common complaints on conventional hemming machines. The upgraded HAOSEN system solves this with a two-station process.
Alignment & Pre-Fixing
The inner and outer bag openings are precisely aligned and lightly fixed in position, eliminating the shift that occurs when bags move directly to final hemming.
Ultrasonic Welding
High-frequency ultrasonic energy bonds the hem instantly. No preheating is required, with a minimal heat-affected zone and no damage to the bag fabric. The result is a smooth, burr-free, lump-free seam that is both strong and clean.
Hemming flatness improved from 80% to 99.5% after the upgrade — a difference that is immediately visible on the filling line, where uneven bag mouths can cause jams and slowdowns.
PID Temperature Control — ±1°C, Adjustable On the Fly
Temperature fluctuation during heat sealing causes inconsistent bond strength and occasional leakage. The upgraded machine uses high-precision PID control modules that monitor and compensate for temperature deviation in real time, holding fluctuation within ±1°C compared with ±5°C on the previous generation.
Operators can also adjust sealing temperature online and fine-tune the sealing position by 1mm increments while the machine is running, without stopping production. This means different bag thicknesses or materials can be accommodated in seconds rather than hours.
Modular Quick-Change Wear Parts — 2 Hours Becomes 20 Minutes
Replacing worn heat-sealing knives, cold-cutting knives, or ultrasonic welding heads used to take up to two hours of downtime. The upgraded modular design allows these core wear parts to be swapped out in approximately 20 minutes.
Component service life has also been extended:
| Component | Service Life |
|---|---|
| Heat Sealing Knife | Over 8 Million Cycles |
| Ultrasonic Welding Head | Over 10 Million Cycles |
Combined with HAOSEN's spare parts warehouse in India, common replacement parts can be delivered within 3 days, minimizing production losses from both scheduled maintenance and unexpected wear.
Before vs. After
| Metric | Before Upgrade | After Upgrade | Improvement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Inspection Method | Manual Spot-Check | AI 100% Inspection | Miss Rate <0.05% |
| Hemming Flatness | 80% | 99.5% | +19.5 Percentage Points |
| Temperature Fluctuation | ±5°C | ±1°C | 80% More Accurate |
| Wear Part Replacement | 2 Hours | 20 Minutes | 83% Less Downtime |
Availability
All four upgrades are now standard on the latest production batch, shipped with high-definition display screens and updated operation and training manuals.
Machines with the new configuration are already running at customer plants in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia, with positive feedback on defect reduction and hemming quality.
For existing HAOSEN customers, the vision inspection module and quick-change wear parts can be retrofitted to earlier-generation machines. Contact our service team to assess compatibility.
