The Truth Of The Trust Crisis

"We have seen the brilliance of Made in China, and also its shadows." A complete bag line involves 5-6 major processes. What customers need is not just machines, but a "lifeline" that runs stably and produces qualified bags. Yet the reality is harsh - some end up with under-specified machines, some with infringing equipment seized by customs, and many abandoned by suppliers after payment.

The “Foolish Decision”

Over more than a year, the couple visited over 100 factories across China – from Wenzhou, Changzhou, Shandong, Hebei, Fujian to Guangzhou – inspecting each one, and ultimately selecting only a handful into the recommended supplier list.

The Founders: The "Trust Filter"

Philip & Lily – They Are Not Purchasers, But The "Quality Inspectors" Of Complete Line Solutions

Philip, a former high school physics teacher, believes "every machine parameter should be as rigorous as a physical law." Lily, a former government officer, excels at administration and communication. Together they form a powerful pair – Philip on technology and supply chain, Lily on market and customers. Both are devoted Buddhists, always keeping a Bodhisattva in their office.

In early days, Philip worked alone in Shijiazhuang, living in his office, and secured the first Korean order within six months. Lily then taught herself English and foreign trade in half a year. Their greatest pride is refusing problematic suppliers: copied designs, refurbished motors, unreachable after-sales – all rejected. Out of over 100 factories, only a few "hidden champions" made their list – suppliers who can still recall what parts were replaced five years ago.

They live by a strong sense of responsibility. When a shipment of galvanized iron wire to India partially rusted (shipping company bankrupt, no insurance), Philip paid full compensation. The customer remains a close friend. During the pandemic, a customer prepaid $40,000 for masks; the factory owner fled with the money. Lily raised her own funds and shipped on time. That customer now entrusts almost all Chinese orders to HAOSEN. When a bag line in Africa failed due to customer-specified materials, HAOSEN air-freighted raw materials at its own cost. Through one "foolish" decision after another, they have earned lifelong trust.

Lee (Founder's Son)

Born 1998, holds dual master's degrees from University of Malaya and Universiti Putra Malaysia (QS top 60). He remotely participated in core operations and coordinated pandemic supply projects. In 2024, he turned down offers from global giants like Microsoft to return as HR & Admin Manager.

He introduced digital management tools, built the enterprise portal, created a consumer goods division from scratch, and implemented an empowering performance system. He has organized online-offline industry events, proposed the "culture, innovation, responsibility" development concept, and aims to build a full "machinery + factories + consumer goods" ecosystem.

Primo (Operations Manager)

Born 1995, BA in Business English, MA in Translation. He joined HAOSEN as an intern in 2016, learning all fundamental foreign trade roles. During his Alibaba internship, he received multiple operation excellence awards.

He later co-founded a startup in Chengdu with investment, then returned to Hebei to care for aging parents, becoming HAOSEN's Operations Manager. He built the operations department from scratch – now with graphic designers, social media specialists, and SE Asia platform experts. He has embedded brand globalization, independent website, social media, and advertising capabilities into HAOSEN, and continuously empowers the sales team through training. He has successfully propelled the company from "traditional trading" to "brand marketing."

Sense Of Responsibility

In 2017, a shipment of hot-dip galvanized iron wire to India partially rusted after arrival (the shipping company went bankrupt, and insurance refused to cover the loss). Philip proactively told the customer: "If they won't take responsibility, we will." He made full compensation. The customer remains a close friend to this day.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, a customer prepaid $40,000 for masks. The factory shareholder fled with the money. Lily immediately raised her own funds and shipped on time, ensuring the customer suffered no loss. Since then, the customer has entrusted almost all of their Chinese orders to HAOSEN.

In Africa, a bag production line failed during trial production due to materials specified by the customer. The factory shirked responsibility. HAOSEN immediately arranged air freight for the raw materials and covered the cost, making sure the customer did not lose a single cent.

An African customer gave us only a piece of land. HAOSEN started from scratch – line design, plant layout, workshop construction, on-site training – everything ready in one go.
